Sarah Geronimo was born Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo on July 25, 1988, a Filipino singer and actress. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, Manila, she attained popularity after winning the Star for a Night singing competition on television in 2003.
She substantiated the fame with the release of her first album in the same year titled Popstar: A Dream Come True, when it became the best-selling debut album of all-time in the country.
Meanwhile, she was one of the big winners at the 6th PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for Music on Sunday, September 14 held at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Paranaque. The ABS-CBN artist won the Female Recording Artist of the Year.
