Maricar Reyes was born in Mabalacat City, Philippines. She graduated high school from St Bridget's School in Quezon City. She finished her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Ateneo de Manila University and studied medicine at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. She passed the medical licensure exam in 2008.
In the meantime, she is happy to
launch her cake business. According to her, baking cake is all about trial and
error. She revealed during the interview that her husband, Richard Poon, became
instrumental in launching the said business. She really loves chocolates. That’s
how they started when they both decided to put a chocolate cake business.
