Lyka Gairanod: A New Kid on the Block

Lyka Gairanod was a scavenger from Cavite before she became famous. She was a proud fan of the musical band Aegis. In the finals of The Voice Kids (Philippine edition), she was not only able to sing with her idols but also she won as grand champion of The Voice Kids (Philippine edition). At the age of nine, she has accomplished very much in life. She won P1M prize money, a one-year-recording contract with MCA Universal, a house and lot, an appliance showcase, a musical intrument showcase and a trust fund worth a million. Not all kids of her age have made their big dreams come true. In her case, she can already help her family big time. Here is the lyrics of the song that made her the ultimate winner.

Aegis Band - Basang-Basa Sa Ulan Lyrics

Heto ako ngayon, nag-iisa
Naglalakbay sa gitna ng dilim
Lagi na lang akong nadarapa
Ngunit heto, bumabangon pa rin

Heto ako, basang-basa sa ulan
Walang masisilungan, walang malalapitan
Sana'y may luha pa, akong mailuluha
At ng mabawasan ang aking kalungkutan

Dumi at putik sa aking katawan
Ihip ng hangin at katahimikan
Bawat patak ng ulan at ang lamig
Waring nag-uutos, upang maglaho ang pag-ibig.
