Top 10 Most Beautiful Actresses in the Philippines

Filipina is one of the most beautiful people in the world. Last year, alone, most of the candidates from the Philippines have won major awards in international pageants like Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational, among others. In Philippine showbiz, there are many beautiful actresses who can also show to the world what a Filipina beauty is made of. Here is my list of the top 10 most beautiful actresses in the Philippines today.
 

 
 



 
1. Marian Rivera
  
      Marian Rivera was born in Madrid, Spain to Francisco Javier Gracia Alonso, a Spaniard and Amalia Rivera, a Filipina from Cavite, Philippines. After her parents separated 2 years after her birth, her mother brought her to the Philippines where she grew up most of her life. However, her mother had to leave to continue her work commitment abroad that she was sent to her maternal grandmother, Francisca Rivera in Bacoor, Cavite. Rivera pursued her elementary and high school education at Saint Francis of Assisi College System, and spent her college education finishing Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in De La Salle University DasmariƱas. After graduating, she worked for National Institute of Mental Health in Mandaluyong City where she gave out medicines, examinations and evaluation to patients, among others. She also tried becoming a SPED teacher before she was discovered for showbiz.

       Anne Ojales Curtis-Smith, also known as Anne Curtis-Smith or simply Anne Curtis (born 17 February 1985 in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia), is a Filipino-Australian beauty queen, actress, television host, recording artist, and VJ in the Philippines. She had starred in several television series, which include Hiram (2004–2005), Kampanerang Kuba (2005), Maging Sino Ka Man (2006–2007) and Dyosa (2008), and has hosted the noontime show It's Showtime. As of 2014, she portrays the iconic Komiks character Dyesebel in Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel. She also starred in several films like No Other Woman (2011), which grossed Php 278 Million at the box office[and her role in the film earned her a FAMAS Award for Best Actress. Her other box-office hit films include Babe, I Love You (2010) and A Secret Affair (2012). Her other critically lauded roles were in the films Baler (2008) and In Your Eyes (2010). Throughout her career, she has received a Metro Manila Film Festival Award, three FAMAS Award nominations (winning one), three PMPC Star Award for Movies nominations, two Luna Award nominations (winning one), and six PMPC Star Award for TV nominations (winning two).
 

 

 
 
 
3. Angel Locsin
 
 
       Angel Locsin was born on April 23, 1985 in Santa Maria, Bulacan. When she was only 14 years old, she got separated from her mother and since then have lived with her father, Angelo Colmenares. She studied at St. James College in Quezon City for her primary education and finished high school at the University of Santo Tomas High School in Manila. In August 2007, she attended a short-course for fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Despite being of Christian faith, she is a part of a Muslim Royal Family in Marawi City in the province of Lanao del Sur through her mother. Reports said that Locsin's maternal grandfather is one of the 15 sultanates in Lanao del Sur.

      Ara Marie Cristine Reyes (born on February 5, 1989 in Marikina City, Metro Manila, Philippines), better known as Cristine Reyes, is a Filipina actress. She became a contestant of GMA-7's reality TV program, StarStruck. She is managed by Viva Artists Agency and a contract artist of ABS-CBN. She has since taken part in different ABS-CBN shows, including Kahit Isang Saglit (2008) and the eponymous title role in Eva Fonda.

 
 

 
 
 
 
 
5. KC Concepcion
 
 
       KC Concepcion is the daughter of Philippine singer-actress Sharon Cuneta and adopted daughter of Former Senator Francis Pangilinan. Her biological father was 80's heartthrob Gabby Concepcion. She was estranged from her father for thirteen years following her parents annulment and his immigration to the United States in 1995. She graduated grade school in Poveda. In 2003, she graduated from the International School Manila, and in 2007, graduated with a bachelor's degree in International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theatre Arts from the American University of Paris.

      Jennylyn Vergara Mercado (born May 15, 1987) is a Filipino actress, singer and songwriter. She gained fame as the winner of the first season of the Philippine TV series StarStruck, a reality search show on GMA Network. She has released three albums from GMA Records and Viva Records which have several popular singles such as Sa Aking Panaginip, Moments Of Love collaboration with Janno Gibbs, Maybe This Time and Kahit Sandali.

 





 
 
 
7. Solenn Heussaff
 
 
      Solenn Marie Adea Heussaff (born on July 20, 1985) is a French-Filipina VJ, actress, TV Host, model, singer, fashion designer, painter, and professional make-up artist. She was one of the official castaways of Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown which aired from August 30 to December 3, 2010 on GMA Network. She made it to the Final Three. In December 2010, she signed a recording contract with MCA Universal Philippines, a movie contract with Regal Entertainment, and a television contract with GMA Network and GMA Artist Center.



 
 
 
 



 8. Kristine Hermosa


      Kristine Hermosa is the second of four children in the family. One of her siblings is fellow actress Kathleen Hermosa. Her mother is half-Spanish and half-Filipina while her father is Filipino. She went to Batino Elementary School. When her family moved to Laguna, she then enrolled at Colegio de San Pedro, San Pedro, Laguna near Pacita Complex to continue her remaining years in grade school and eventually her first year in high school. She then pursued her studies at ABS-CBN Learning Center after they moved back to Manila. On September 21, 2004, she married actor Diether Ocampo, her co-star in Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas. Their marriage ended on January 30, 2009, due to irreconcilable differences. She became officially part of the Sotto clan when she married Oyo Boy Sotto on January 12, 2011. They have two children, a son, Kristian Daniel or Kiel, born August 16, 2008 and a daughter, Ondrea Bliss, born December 26, 2011. On February 24, 2014, it was announced that the couple are currently expecting another child.

       Bea Alonzo (born October 17, 1987 Cainta, Rizal, Philippines), is a Filipina film and television actress, and singer. She is currently part of ABS-CBN contract talents. She is Phylbert Angellie Ranollo Fagestrom in real life. Her father is British, and her mother is a Filipina. Her parents separated when she was four. She graduated grade 7 at the Jose Abad Santos Memorial School Quezon City. She attended The Fisher Valley College in Taguig, Ususan Elementary School in Ususan and Colegio de Sta Ana in Nueva Ecija.
 
 

 

 
 
 
10. Heart Evangelista
 
 
      Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco (born February 14, 1985), better known by her stage name Heart Evangelista, is a Filipina actress, TV show host, singer, VJ, and endorser.  She was first discovered by a commercial agent while at a mall with her sister. She signed up with the Star Magic agency, formerly known as Talent Center, and was part of Star Circle Batch 9. She was paired with John Prats on the show G-Mik and on Trip, Ang Tanging Ina, My First Romance and Berks. She hosts the musical variety show on GMA, Party Pilipinas. She appeared in the Christmas Reality Show, Puso ng Pasko: Artista Challenge on GMA Network, and she plays a dwarf on Dwarfina. On late 2011, she signed an exclusive contract under Viva Entertainment. Her current beau is Senator Chiz Escudero.
