China Roces came from a very simple family. She's the eldest among six children. She started joining art contest and beauty pageant as early as 5 years old. She joined journalism and acting workshop during her elementary days. In high school, she was able to win the Miss Campus from Freshmen to Senior year. At 17, she started working while taking up a degree in Information Science. She worked as a service crew at some of the leading fastfood chains in the Philippines. Despite her busy schedules, she still continued to join school beauty pageants.
She had the opportunity to work abroad as a dance crew member. After her stint working abroad, she put up a salon and perfume business. Along side with her business ventures are some offers for modelling. Her first project was a calendar model of Island Air Products Corporation. Right after that, she received different offers from companies like Tanduay, Burger King, Krooberg, FilAsia among others. Right now, she is doing different projects like dancing, hosting, modelling and acting.
