Anne Curtis is half-Filipino and half-Australian visited the Philippines with her family to see her mother's relatives in 1997. She was then 12 years old. Her vacation became permanent as she was approached by a talent scout to ask if she would like to get into a children's beauty pageant. Her dad feared that it might be a scam, while her mother wanted her to try it. Without telling her father, Curtis then started to go to different VTRs. By that time, she and her family decided to stay permanently in the Philippines.
She took to Instagram to announce the upcoming release of her first international film, Blood Ransom. On Tuesday, the It’s Showtime host posted on Instagram a poster of the international indie movie along with a caption revealing its opening dates in the Philippines and North America. She also said that she auditioned for the part last May of 2012 and is excited to finally see how the film turned out.
