Valerie Weigmann is of Filipino, German and Danish descent born on November 22, 1989 in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany. She graduated at a university in Wiesbaden, Germany with a Bachelors Degree in Communications. On 2014, she became a regular co-host of the noontime show Eat Bulaga!. She is also an entrepreneur and co-owns Manila's first German-Turkish restaurant located at The Collective in Makati City.
She failed to make it to the top 10 of the Miss World 2014 pageant during its grand finals held at ExCeL London in London, U.K. She was lucky enough to make it the pageant's top 25, just a year after actress Megan Young won the crown. South Africa's Rolene Strauss was crowned Miss World 2014, while Hungary's Edina Kulcsár and the United States' Elizabeth Safrit finished second and third, respectively.
